This Gallup poll enlightens us on what the best of the best in American science believe (or not) about evolution.
Young-Earth Creationist = 5%
Guided Evolution = 40%
"Naturalistic" Evolution = 55%
For members of the National Academy of Sciences*, the results are:
Young-Earth Creationist = 3%
Guided Evolution = 14%
“Naturalistic” Evolution = 83%

Ever since 2006, famous shock author, also one of the few authors to venture into transgressional fiction territory, and actually be famous, Chuck Palahniuk started to go into different genres, or dare I say, different directions for transgressional fiction. It probably started most with his book Haunted which was set in the famous setup brought about in "The Canturbury Tales" by Geoffrey Chaucer, which is known as "stories in a frame tale". Then came Rant: An Oral Biography of Buster Casey which is set in the format of an oral biography which is a story told by numerous sources, which is mostly used in police cases. Then last year, the book Snuff came out which is told by the perspective of four different people. Now the next book to come out is called Pygmy and I just finished it for your pleasure to read thy review. I hope you enjoy the review and I am going to go on the positive like always since...well...negativity is for weak people. I'll put some cautions to the wind though for you "parents" and "sensitve" readers.

The two million dollar fine handed out to Jammie Thomas by a Minnesota jury this week hasn’t done the music industry’s image much good. While lawyers and high level managers at the major labels cracked open the Champagne, artists such as Moby and Radiohead shook their heads in shame at what the music world has become.

It just occurred to me...it's been a little over a year since I started playing the violin again.
For a number of years growing up I played the violin professionally and otherwise. Even after I moved to Chicago where my really good fiddle got ripped off, I still managed to scrape money together for another one and ended up playing back up fiddle at the Grand Ol' opry. Even when I was running around the cult I hung with, there were musicians from around the world in it with me and we had a fantastic orchestra. And then I was in a car wreck and my wrists got creamed.

Although many people are upset today, Congress's out-of-control spending really started back in 1999 under the Clinton administration. Congress failed to follow its own budgeting rules defined by a bill passed several years earlier, then let the bill expire. Through the Bush years this spending began to pick up steam. People were upset by increases in DoD spending, but that was just a small part of it. Now with a Democrat-controlled Congress and the Obama administration the spending train is at full speed.
The Tea Party began in frustration, with a CNBC business correspendant venting on live TV about the out-of-control spending. This man was furious with righteous indignation, not planning on starting a movement but simply voicing the common emotion found out on the trading floor. I happened to be watching this broadcast live and I remembered thinking he was right, that something ought to be done. His words sparked the modern Tea Party movement we see today.

Christian Developers Network admin Mack posted an update on GarageGames community blog annoucing the development period for this years CDN SpeedGame has concluded. With over 19 submissions ranging from interactive novels to RPGs to action titles the SpeedGame seems to offer something for everyone. From now until July 4th the community will vote on which developers recieve goodies from the $2700+ worth of prizes fronted by the SpeedGame sponsors. I want to make it perfectly clear that what the title is showing is the latest and greatest news of Tim Burton's upcoming movie, which has been talked about for the longest time since before Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street came to theaters. Actually it was after Burton's version of Roald Dahl's classic novel of a boy and a chocolate factory went to DVD that news and rumors about Burton doing his take on the classic children series by Lewis Carroll (Which is a pen name actually!). It was until recently this month news and publicity for the rumors are now at last showing some proof as you can now see in the publicity picture below.
As you can see above, the two most prominant stars in recent Tim Burton films are coming back. Johnny Depp will return and play as the Mad Hatter and Burton's fiance Helena Bonham Carter will play the Queen of Hearts. There will be a lot of computer graphic enhancement for this film and believe it or not, this movie is being made by Disney. I couldn't believe it that Disney would make a film like this since it was rumored that Burton's version of the famous story would go more like the video game made by America McGee, which it still may by the look of some of these characters. Now the other actress in picture above is Anna Hathaway who plays the White Queen. Notice a lot of Disney and Burton alumni are coming back. Charlie Sheen will voice the White Rabbit, Alan Rickman will be the Caterpiller, and Christopher Lee will be the Jabberwocki. Now the coveted role of Alice will be played by an Australian actress, Mia Wasikowska, who is famous for her role in HBO's In Treatment.

Gameindustry.biz has an interesting article up where they interview the Head of Vin Diesel's Tigon Studio, Ian Stevens. He believes "that Hollywood only takes games seriously when it realises the financial survival of the film-making business depends on it."
"There's certainly no shortage of guys that look at games and see them as toys, and meaningless bull****, and now look at revenue - and for their own survival's sake have to care, and have to get involved. I think a lot of it has changed because we're[the video game industry] making so much more money than they are."

As of today, EA Digital Illusions CE has opened their newest game, Battlefield Heroes, for public play according to CinemaBlend Games. Dear Mr. President;
As I sit here on a red letter day for this nation, and as I watch this video of you praising the recent passage of the bill formerly referred to as the Cap and Trade Bill, I shake my head in wonderment. Do you know, Sir, what it is you are applauding?
You are praising a bill that will raise energy levels 55% by 2015 according to an MIT study done at the time this bill was first announced. That was going off of a 2005 baseline, Mr. President.
You are praising a bill that will allow a single individual to be fined twenty-five thousand dollars A DAY for any sort of infraction, minor or major.
You are praising a bill that would make it virtually impossible for larger companies, employing the most citizens, to grow or even continue to exist.
Sir, the incentives you speak about are nothing more than strong-arm tactics. Fines. Fees. Penalties. This bill allows for government lawsuits against the private citizen. Are you, as the highest elected representative of the people of America, truly for this sort of disgraceful misuse of power?

You know, I usually don't care about what a politico has to say after he's screwed around on his wife. Sleaze is sleaze, no matter if it's Ted Kennedy, Barney Frank, John Kerry...or that Repub last year who was caught having sex in the mens room(I forget his name)...I mean...yuck..C'mon.
They all apologize and you know good and well none of them mean it...Even a little kid could see the lie in their eyes. They're just embarrassed they got caught.
