If the company above holds dear in your heart, then you know very well this company is responsible for making the Call of Duty Series and most dominantly the Modern Warfare extension to the series which is so awesome. However, Infinity Ward is actually a subsidiary of Activision but it was originally created and founded by both Jason West and Vince Zampella back in 2002. It later became a subsidiary of Activision in 2003. Now this company is well known and so far only known for making the Call of Duty Series since there are no other credits of video games outside of the series I know of. However, this is the series that is probably the third biggest money-maker for Activision. The first being the Tony Hawk Pro-Skater Series then going to the Hero Series as in adding either “guitar”, “band”, or “DJ” before the word hero.

Now from what I am seeing here, it seems that once Activision really steps into the developer’s pocket, it kinda goes downhill for the games the developer is known for. We will start with Neversoft since they are famous for developing the Tony Hawk’s Series. The first three games in the series was really good and a lot of fun. Does anyone even remember the fourth or fifith game? Then the numbers disappeared and then Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland came out then there was the Downhill Jam and of course Project 8 and Ride. However, the downhill trend seemed to begin when Activision bought Neversoft. Let’s also go with the Guitar Hero Series and remember when the games used to be really good but it seemed that after the second game it was a rehash of another rehash and so on? Well that is when Activision stepped up and did their thing with maximizing the profits from something established.
