The day started out all bright and shiny. Arrived early at Jan's house for the pickup and off we went...then my car suddenly received a Check Engine Light. Doh!
Being completely reliant on this vehicle, I was forced to skip FX Con in order to fix any potentially serious problems that may pop up. Dang it, I'll be missing the Firefly cast. Jan was joking that it may just be a loose vacuum hose or an acorn stuck somewhere.Unfortunately, Jan was sorta right. The CEL code turn out to be one related to the gas evaporation system, which turns out to be a known defect with the 00-05 Celica line. So it may have just been a loose gas cap or something more serious. I dunno.
Anyway, Jan will be recording video and taking snapshots with my camera. So later tonight we'll still get a treat. Head on over to fxshow.com to see what I'm missing.
