Let's say you're laying down on your mom's old mattress that she's had for years. She might have gotten accustomed to it over the years, but you think it would be really great if she had a new mattress. Something she could get that fifteen hours of sleep she deserves. You buy the new mattress that day and throw out the old mattress in time for the garbage man to pick it up.

As I'm observing E3 via live video feeds, twitter, and gaming news articles, I can't help but notice an interesting trend in the trailers. This year's movie trailers are wittier, more suspenseful, and more emphatic than previous E3 trailers. Some developers even went through the trouble to hire a Narrator. In short, a lot of the game trailers are mimicking movie previews. Meaning, developers are using game trailers to attract gamers to the characters, the storytelling, and the graphics style more than the game play.I'm most excited because, I relish the quality of storytelling in games, and I can always tell a good movie from its preview. Here are some game trailers that I'm most excited about and why.
