Hello everyone! This is The Alpha Jan coming to you live on this fine Monday afternoon. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend but it's time to rev up the work week. This week, I am going to bring you a week-long special on staying fit and getting in shape which I am calling the Health Week Series or HWS for short. This will be the first one so this is called HWS #1.
Anyways, the United States is one of the unhealthiest countries in the world but we are now changing that. Before, all-you-can-eat buffets, fast food, processed foods, and the whole shebang of poison readily available for consumption in super markets have dominated our lifestyles. But now, thanks to a lot of major companies, as well as communities, preferably Team Beachbody, people are getting back to being healthy yet again. I myself am going to start on a brand new workout today called ChaLEAN Extreme. I am looking forward to it since I am a graduate of P90X and I know I need to change up my workout regime.
Now today's article is about those pesky last ten pounds that seem to take forever to lose. However, losing the last ten pounds isn't hard at all and in some aspects, may not be needed if you know the right conditions. My friend, and Patrick's wife, Heather is getting more and more fit which I am very happy for her on. I try to help her out as much as I can since she says she never done this before. I myself haven't been thin in the longest time but I'm getting back to what Dizzy, my best friend, used to call me: very metro-gorgeous. So eventually I will get there and with Team Beachbody and my toystore, GNC (General Nutrition Center), I will be back where I was. For now however, here are ten tricks to help you all lose the last ten pounds of any diet.
I know it's an older flick, came out in 1999, but I only saw it for the first time on Friday. Amazing film. The acting is superb. It had to be! The story switches from country to country, and when they do the actors speak the language. If they're in Italy, they're speaking Italian, in China, it's all Chinese, and yet keeping up with the story is no problem.
And you do have to keep up. This story isn't told in a single line. Layers of it become slowly revealed until you finally learn the secret of the grief and love behind this fiddle.
**WARNING! The video of George Carlin is vulgar. Don't press play if you're insecure!**
We here who believe in God all know that God sees all sins as equal. Translation: stealing a brother lollipop from his baby sister is the same as a pedophile raping, torturing, and killing an underage girl. Now some of you may see that as a little extreme and will probably scream "An eye for an eye". First off, if you read the scriptures, the person who takes an eye for an eye, is the person who comitted the sin in the first place so if you see someone do a sin and you do the same to him screaming "an eye for an eye", well you're not following the scripture, you're just justifying. Next, I want to tell you all that even though God sees all sins as equal, the PUNISHMENT is different. So far, there are only three types of sins punishable by death and they are killing, sexual sins, and the one I am going to talk about now.
Now the video above is clearly known as blasphemy which in the Divine Comedy, is violence towards God. Those who blaspheme against God suffer in Inferno in the Seventh Circle of Hell where the violent reside. The inner part of the circle called the "Inner Ring" is a desert of flaming sand with fiery flakes raining down from the sky. Now it is known that George Carlin passed away this year and he is one of the best comedians I ever listened to. To most, since he is a blasphemer, he is now in Hell for being violent against God. Personally me, I don't judge for that is not my job and all I can say is I don't know where he is and I don't believe he is in Hell because that is like saying you hope people to go to a place God doesn't want anyone to go to. Why he could be in Limbo. Even C.S. Lewis wrote a form of Limbo in the final book in the Chronicles of Narnia Series for the dwarves who turned away from both Aslan and Tash. So all in all, this entry will be a personal view of what I feel for blasphemers. Some people want to say atheists and some people want to say agnostics too. Well I am a sociologist and here is what I feel for blasphemy.
Fighting games have been around for a long time since the 1980s but it wasn't until a sequel to an original fighter by Capcom came out did fighting games start becoming a genre to be looking forward to. Street Fighter II: The World Warrior originally came out in arcades back in 1991 and it was a major overhaul from fighters before it. This was the first time the joystick was introduced with the eight direction movement and the six attack button setup was made as well. For a game back in 1991, the graphics were unbelievable. Also, the two characters that would become "The Icon of Capcom" and the "First Lady of Capcom" (Ryu and Chun-li) were introduced to the world. I don't know if you guys know this but the first icon of Capcom or should I say mascot was Captain Commando (Take the first three letters of both parts of his name and put them together and what do you get?). However, he hardly has a game out. Nevertheless, the figther has improved over the years buy it all started with Street Figther II: The World Warrior.
After Street Fighter II, there came numerous ports of the game and versions such as adding the hyper combo, more characters, stringing combos, and other fighting features. Even former Capcom employees would quit and eventually become SNK and make more fighters including the infamous King of Fighters Series. However, somewhere down the line, fighters started to become stagnant and a fighter that has been worth our while has been denied for many years. The only fighters coming out were either a Mortal Kombat or a Soul Calibur and they are good fighters but the spark, the interest, the charisma fighting games had back in the day were pretty non-existant. Because of this, Midway strayed away from fighters knowing their Mortal Kombat franchise wasn't making much anymore. Why their last game wasn't even that wanted and it was a dream match against DC Comics characters. Soul Calibur needed a new boost so they took a new direction making a "Dynasty Warriors"-type game which got a low rating actually. It would seem fighters would become obsolete until the year of 2009 came around. It took the innovator of the fighter, Capcom themselves, to bring fighters back on a high pedestal in the video gaming community.
Hello everyone! This is The Alpha Jan here. I hope you enjoyed your weekends. Just to let you all know of schedules, due to unknown and unforseen conflicts from the other writers, bossman asked me to keep the articles flowing with whatever I am able to find. Usually, my expertise is advertising in media so I'll stick to media of all kinds plus anything of a sociologist view towards anything in the media or per say media related. Until we get more writers or until Patrick comes back, I'll hold it down from Monday through Thursday. I take a three-day weekend from ICE now. Anyways, later on at Midnight, Batman: Arkham Asylum will be available for purchase. There is a special Midnight selling of the game and I already have my pre-ordered so I am not going to push it. I'll just show up tomorrow with some other games I have for trade-in credit and start the game as soon as possible. This game is bound to be awesome from what I know from playing the demo, the articles I read, and the videos I watched but you never know right? Despite this, one major question seemed to flash before me when it came to this game. The questions is, "What will the developers compromise in this game?". Now I am unsure if you know what I am talking about but lets just say because of the diversity and demand of the gaming community, a lot of developers and publishers are starting to do some compromising when it comes to the games they make. Ladies and gentlemen, I bring you the article on the Game Industry's Compromise.
So now that I got your attention, what exactly is the compromise the gaming industry seems to put out as of late? Well to fully understand what I am talking about, let's take a trip down memory lane shall we. Before, video games were quite simple yet the formula worked. Games were decently long, difficulty was somewhat preferenced only to one difficulty and that was whatever the game was, and as long as the game was fun, that is all that mattered. Times have now changed and there are now three major things a video game is either required to have to either make or break a game. If the following three seems familiar to you, it is because almost all games will have one of the major traits listed below and be really lacking in another.
This most beautiful system could only proceed from the dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being. Isaac Newton
A lot of people seem to ask me what my faith is, but really they are asking me what my religion is. A lot of people strained by the parameters of limitation get upset at my answer: I am a New Kingdom Pluralist driven by Love, Hope, and Faith. What this means is that I believe in all faiths or "religions" are part of the true faith. Mine is however based on God and Christ and everything can be related to those two. I am also an Agnostic which throws people off. Usually, when people are considered, it is thrown in with Atheism which are two different forms of faith. Agnosticim is considered to be an extreme of the Faith Scale since it is unsure. However, how you take this uncertainty is what makes you either the general Agnostic today or a Universal Agnostic. In definition, an Agnostic is a person who believes that you cannot prove or disprove the existence of God or the stories of the Bible or the stories of the Koran or so on. The question that seems to follow after that definion is "Why believe in God when there is no proof?" and thus why most Agnostics are always synonymous with Atheists since their belief is flat-out no belief in God. I am an Agnostic Theist which means that I believe that proving the existence of God is beyond what we can fathom to the point there is no way as of now to prove or disprove the existence of God. That doesn't mean I beleive in God's existence though. Finally, I am driven by the trinity of love, hope, and faith which are the factors of what I am going to talk about today: The Law of Attraction. Are you ready for this insight? Also, this isn't me trying to change you. Only you can do whatever you want with your life for if your life is good, bad, mediocre, sad, happy, or any other feeling or emotion right now, you wanted it because deep down inside, your reality is how you shape it to be.
