You know, I usually don't care about what a politico has to say after he's screwed around on his wife.  Sleaze is sleaze, no matter if it's Ted Kennedy, Barney Frank, John Kerry...or that Repub last year who was caught having sex in the mens room(I forget his name)...I mean...yuck..C'mon.

They all apologize and you know good and well none of them mean it...Even a little kid could see the lie in their eyes.  They're just embarrassed they got caught.

But I heard this Sanford speak about what he did and gave, what I thought  would be the standard apology...But it was different.  Maybe something about his body language, maybe something about his eyes, but I think he knows he did wrong, believes he did wrong, and genuinely wishes he had taken another course.  So I looked up some things about him.  This was the guy who didn't want to take stimulus money for his state and took a beating in Washington for it.  He's stood up on a few other issues, and had his head handed to him.  One wonders if the dude got wore out and this girl showed up at a vulnerable moment?  Please don't mistake this for condoning or excusing.  Because it's wrong what he did, no argument.  But if he is found not to have done anything else like spend state funds to go see 'Missy' I think his state might actually be safe to forgive him and move on.

Here's what we should be aware of and making notes on:  Since the Obama administration landed our children have been sold into financial slavery. Our 'great leader' has said, concerning health care, that, at end of life care,  "senior citizens may have to understand that sometimes there isn't anything to be done for them. But we will supply them with pain-killers..."  What?  Yeah, how about the seniors in HIS family?  My impression of him before the election was of someone cold and calculating, not calm and collected.  Sorry, I was right.

And then the Cap and Trade bill they're voting on tonight...if that passes through the House, Senate, and gets signed into law, it will be the largest tax hike in American history.  Everyone will be effected and the federal government will essentially be able to tell you how to live.  It's such a bad bill Greenpeace won't even back it.  You still might have time to call your congressman and tell them to vote no on the energy bill.  I'd do it

(Sigh.  I just heard it passed in the House by a lousy 7 votes. Look, if you don't want your future completely shut down, I'd be calling or e-mailing your Senator ASAP.  This is bad, folks.  If it becomes law, the only way out of it is the Rapture.)

At least Obama has picked a side.  People couldn't decide if he was a blue collar type Democrat, out there fighting for the union guy or from the Twilight Zone side of the party where guys who didn't get enough of the sixties pontificate to their younger disciples about pot-induced visions of a Utopian fantasy.

I think that's his side of the party.

To paraphrase Michelle Obama, For the first time in my adult life, I'm embarrassed to be an American.

So, I guess you have to weigh it out...Who would you tend to trust?  A guy who fell to adultery and seems to be genuine in his remorse...or a guy whose actions sound as if he's unrepentant about committing adultery of another kind.

And...yeah...pray...and call your Senator.  Yes, this is bad.

FRACK the government?

This is the strongest I have ever felt my normally dormant anarchist side. If anyone needs more information on this bill, go to this site:

http://www.nationalcenter.org/NPA570.html

They've done a rather nice job of summarizing it and comparing it to what studies say the American people ACTUALLY want.

Frankly, I would have provided my own summery, but they did a better one.
