Hi all, my name is Michele...aka Merry over at Christianwriters.com.
I've got a few questions for you and I hope you'll respond. I'm a musician, I studied violin since the age of eight. I've played with the Dallas Opera, the University City Symphony, and The Way Orchestra. When my super fantastic violin, Max, got ripped off in Chicago, I still scraped together a few hundred bucks and bought a violin and wound up playing back-up fiddle at the Grand Ol' Opry for a CW group. What can I say? You get attached to the thing.
I'll explain more what this is about as we go along, but to keep from messing up results, I think it's better to just dive right in.
I've had 200 responses so far since starting this little study last week, I'm going to keep going until I reach 1,000, so, yeah, don't be shy..let me know what you think!
Here are the questions:
What kind of music do you like?
Is there a music style you've been attracted to most of or all of your life? Why?
Do you ascribe to a particular faith? Why?
What is your field of work?
What decade of life are you in? (If you're 20, it's your 2nd decade..etc.)
Would you say your politics lean to the Left or to the Right? Why?
There are no wrong answers...However, snarky responders will be strapped to a missle and launched. And if you have a vid or sample of some of YOUR favorite music, by all means, bring it!
And I promise more explanation as we go along. But right now, I'm going to go pour a cup of coffee and listen to my new Joshua Bell CD.
I'm very pleased to be here and look forward to meeting you!
Later, mon ami!
The Ever Merry Michele

2. Hardcore music in general. I enjoy the cultural phenomenon. For example, while I enjoy classical I do not prescribe to the penguin look.
3. Christianity. A combination of rational thought, personal experience, and ongoing faith.
4. IT consultant, web designer/admin, and entrepreneur.
5. 2nd decade.
6. Registered independent for years, but am currently registered Republican so I have the capability to vote on more issues (it seems independents are short-changed). Not satisfied with either major US political party. According to political quizzes I'm slightly right-leaning.
2. Reggaeton and rock. Yo hablo espanol pero no bablo espanol correcto que personas de Espana. Yo hablo espanol de Puerto Rico. :D As for rock, I am huge with Trapt and Sevendust.
3. New Kingdom Pluralist, very open-minded and very understanding of all religious views. In some aspect, I am also considered to be an Agnostic Theist, which is so rare, people don't know what it is.
4. Mechanical/Electrical Drafter, author, clientele advertiser and promoter for IcePowered, and POS associate.
5. 2nd Decade
6. Rationalist, so I prefer Ralph Nader when it comes to most political views. However, I am more Anarchistic-Communist even though most people misinterpret what both anarchy and communism truly are. Everyone puts too much thought on socialism.
