If you read the post before this, you know about the encounter me and another woman had while doing battle with a tree.  (Sorry, it still sounds weird.)

The other lady had the name 'Green Reaper' pop into her head, which I thought might just be her putting a little salad-shooter spin on the whole situation.  Except the name came up again yesterday.

A seveteen year old girl, who has been having a number of spiritual problems in her house, (dad was very much into the occult) had us pray for her home, and while bizzarre things happened, nothing struck me quite as strange as when the girl said, "I really feel like The Green Reaper' just left."

Since I only heard the name for the first time last week, I asked where she picked it up. The girl shrugged and said it popped into her head.  But, I'm wondering, is there a game around that uses this character?  Because possibly the name is part of the cultural white-noise that effects us just below our personal radar levels...which could mean it's nothing even still...Or, perhaps some game-making malefactor slipped the name in to summon the entity behind it.  Not impossible. For instance, concerning the Book of Enoch, there is an old Jewish tradition that says one should never say the names of the fallen angels out loud, just to avoid connecting with them.  And there are occult sects that will do nothing but recite the names of the fallen for the purpose of summoning them.

And what about the power connceted to uttering the name of Jesus?

Bottom line: the spoken word is a powerful thing.

I'm jsut wondering where these spoken words came from.  The Green Reaper.  Ring any bells?
