Most of the people I know refuse to listen to "Prez Obama" as they call him. I have respect for the office and turned on a channel carrying his speech before he got to the podium. I listened until he raised his fingers to promote class warfare. That was about 00:00:20 into his speech. I am not poor because rich people are trying to hold me down. I have been fired for working too hard, for disliking unions, and once because I came to work with a Republican bumper sticker on my truck. Several Democrats have told me, “Republicans should not be allowed to have jobs!”
Tonight I refused to listen to the Jackass in chief spew his diarrhea. The party of the Jackass is part of the reason there are so many unemployed people in America. They have weaseled their way into positions of power so they can give jobs to like-minded people who give loans to people who can’t afford the payments and think its swell to help the government give those people money to pay-off those loans. The problem is that Democrats want government hand-outs and “free healthcare” Many of them do not put in a full day’s work when they get a job. That is part of the reason businesses are going bankrupt.
Fortunately some members of the Jackass party have had their heads kicked out of their rectum by constituents and are backing away from Obama’s Socialized Medicine scam. Tonight a president became a Lame Duck six months into his first year in office. I hope the Secret Service continue to protect the Lame Duck because the only thing worse would be “President Pelosi."

Biggest difference is of course going from spending $65 billion to over $1 trillion...and rising, apparently. Then again, the election "plan" was so vague anything could be fit into it. Never mind that while Obama can offer executive guidance it's Congress doing the writing now.
The only "good news" is that Florida is one of the states where the higher tax rates won't take effect, so a lot of money will be flowing here...or overseas.
Here's where I agree with Obama. Health costs are rising beyond regular inflation. "Something" needs to be done. And Obama is right to encourage people to try and get things done a quickly as rationally possible. Where I begin to disagree is on the specifics of the plan, and the rush to authorize it. They should be quick, but to my mind "quick" for a momentous decision like this is 2-3 years.
There's also: "According to the summary, the bill “authorizes a demonstration program to improve immunization coverage. Under this program, CDC [Centers for Disease Control] will provide grants to states to improve immunization coverage of children, adolescents, and adults through the use of evidence-based interventions. " Sounds like they're allowing themselves to invade private property and do whatever they want. Sometimes that might be a good thing if the parents are borderline abusive...but sometimes the immunizations are useless or even harmful.
