I am glad you are able to play the violin again. Both of my youngers sisters play the violin and they love to do it but stopped since they can't "afford" one. Me, I play more guitar than ever but every once in a while, I try out to be on a monthy orchestra or band in Orlando to perform. Usually I am the bassoon player or the pit but I don't mind. Last year, I was in a month long orchestra playing famous movie themes done by orchestras. When I performed the pit solo for "Only the Beginning of the Adventure" (Musical Piece from the movie "Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe") I felt very overjoyed since I personally love that piece of beautifully written music. By the way, who's the girl in the picture? Looks familiar but I'm not sure.

Merry
I think that is very cool you're sticking with it! Especially the bassoon! I wish your sister were able to continue.
I think the coolest day of the week is band practice. I can't imagine ever again going without playing music...its just...just nuts!

Hey, Alpha, guess who is doing a recording with the Cuban band Tiempo Libre? Joshua Bell! The guys in Tiempo Libre all have super-solid classical backgrounds; at night it's African and Latin rhythms...during the day, it's Mozart. Bell is getting with them to mix it all up! CD this fall...maybe a Miami promotional tour...I hope so!

As for that girl...I think St. Patrick found her among the Stock sisters. I don't know who that is...
