ICE has long had several free advertising spots:
- page peel ad in the top right (currently being used by Soma Games)
- bottom of the page randomized banner (multiple organizations)
- small block banners on the bottom of either left/right vertical column (virginia creeper and several Christian game devs)
The most popular banner has been for Christian Surfers, which has generated 35819 impressions and 250 clicks (0.70% clickthrough rate...not shabby). Unfortunately, I don't have anything set up for tracking the other 2 ad spots (page peel and columns).
We accept ads of any types, although page peel ads should be static pictures. I'd prefer if any large content be hosted on your own server, although so far we've been hosting all ads ourselves.
Page peel ads should be block-sized, with a max of 400x400.
Vertical columns should be 180 max horizontally, with a reasonable size vertically.
Bottom of the page banners should be 800 max horizontally, with 120 max vertically. But we've been using 468x60 banners so far.
