Another Christian gaming portal is being launched, this time from the Left Behind Games guys. The twist is that they're hoping to pair up with churches. When it launches later this month the website will feature the entire line of post-apocalyptic Left Behind Games titles will be featured on the site as well as hundreds of other family-friendly games, according to Inspired Media Entertainment.
"The company's goal is to establish an affiliate network with at least one percent of the churches — just 3,000 — that would produce an average sales of 50 games per church a year within three years," said Left Behind Games CEO Troy Lyndon. "This alone would generate supplemental revenue of $3 million a year, but more importantly, will provide parents with a healthy alternative for their children."
As of today, EA Digital Illusions CE has opened their newest game, Battlefield Heroes, for public play according to CinemaBlend Games. Users confirmed this morning on the Battlefield Heroes forums that a beta key is no longer needed to enter the free-to-play cartoon shooter. The best part about this game: it's absolutely free!
The day before Christmas Soma Games received their first bit of funding. And out of that they're moving forward on a plan to create a series of 3 iPhone games that are set as prologues to their first console game.
