G: Into the Rain is the first in a series which is planned to consist of four games: G, F, E, and Arc. This game sets the base storyline, and each future episode should expand on it. The premise here is that over the last 30 years, mankind saw a growing emptiness in the sky, as part of the heavens became obscured. Like a cloud covering the midday sun, they called it The Rain. As it drew near, they began to learn more and more of its nature. What started as fear soon became desire as nations and corporations saw wealth and power. Now that The Rain has drawn near, you are one of the explorers who will chart what riches lay inside. No one is sure what you will find, or how far you will go to find it.

Back in April Soma Games launched our first game called G:Into The Rain and the people on this board gave us a lot of really good input including telling us what sucked and what worked. We were listening.

To cut to the chase, we recently had the opportunity to rebuild G basically from the ground up to take up (most of) the input we got from players and we're re-releasing the game with a big contest March 3-16. With everything that's been added or changed it's really a totally new game and is finally the game we were hoping to make all along...but frankly didn't know how.

I have to admit, I am a faithful supporter of the PixelJunk series. I’ve been a fan of the games ever since Racers so I’m always excited to see whatever game is going to be next in the series. I had been following PixelJunk Shooter ever since the naming competition a while back and was especially excited about the art direction of the game.

PixelJunk Shooter is a game in where you control a spaceship that flies underground in caves trying to rescue workers and collect gems. Along the way you are faced with the elements of water, lava, ice, flammable steam, and magnetic matter. The elements are used in unique ways throughout the game making you think before just going in guns blazing. The workers can die really easily so you have to do some planning first. To switch up the gameplay you are also presented with suits that change the way your ship acts. For example you can obtain a suit that shoots water or lava instead of your regular missiles.

A little Diablo, a little steampunk in a cel shaded world makes a knock-out hit!

The Story
Just to recap a little, Torchlight is a hack-n-slash dungeon crawler by Runic games, the same masterminds behind the first two Diablo games and the Fate series, and it builds upon the elements started by those monumental titles. The player picks one of three classes, a Destroyer, a Vanquisher or an Alchemist. It takes place in the mining town of the same name, where mining of Ember has corrupted people and brought a Blight upon the land. As a new traveler coming to Torchlight, you initially begin helping a female character by the name of Syl, whose companion has chased some of the foul blight monsters back to the depths of Torchlight’s mines. Taking that first step draws you in to not only helping vanquish the monsters and attempt to save Brink, but solve the bigger problem of stopping the Blight, containing the Dark Ember threat, and even cleansing yourself from the taint of Ember.

Testament is a game developed for the Church of Sweden. The game is based on the Old Testament of The Bible and it was developed primarily to make its content more accessible to young people. The game was completed and delivered to the Church of Sweden in November 2009.

Testament is not a standard educational game in the sense that it focuses heavily on the educational component. The idea is that it should be fun to play and that the knowledge of the Old Testament will be gained in a subtle way.

Leading videogame publisher Iceberg Interactive today announced that they have acquired the worldwide publishing rights to the episodic PC and console action adventure game, “Adam’s Venture: Solomon´s Secret”. ICE reviewed the first episode, The Search For The Lost Garden, and we found it to be a good game for the casual gamer demographic. The second episode of Adam’s Venture brings a unique combination of action oriented gameplay with challenging classic puzzle solving along with an involving storyline.

Erik Schreuder, CEO of Iceberg Interactive says: “With Solomon’s Secret we have signed a great second installment to the Adam’s Venture franchise. We’re convinced that developer Vertigo Games will step up to the plate by keeping successful ingredients such as the tremendous ‘Unreal 3’ graphics and non-violent nature, while satisfying market demand by expanding the hours of gameplay and the variety in difficulty of puzzles. The story will also certainly see some unexpected twists and turns, and the already stunning environments will be beefed up a notch as well with more atmospheric outdoor locations. Adventure Gamers should definitely look forward to this one.”
