Last year Uncharted 2 was on alot of people’s Game Of The Year list, and rightfully so. The game is obviously more well known for its amazing cinematic single player and Indiana Jones like story telling. But the Multiplayer surprised alot of people that were uncertain that it could work, and Naughty Dog has done a great job supporting the online with quality DLC.
The Siege expansion pack includes two new multiplayer maps and a new co op mode called oddly enough “Siege”.
The first of the two maps is called The Highrise. Most of the action takes place on huge skyscraper sized rooftops with broken down buildings and tons of debris covering the stairwells. If your a fan of using the sniper, there are plenty of good areas to pick you buddies off at on this map. One thing you want to keep an eye out for in between shooting down your enemies is the chopper that makes its way to the rooftops shooting down missles on anyone who is in clear sight of it. Just get to cover and he might let you live.
The Second map is called The Museum. This was the stealth chapter that took place early on in the single player campaign. You almost want to have the same approach as you did then, As the map is during dusk so its not a very bright map. If you can manage to sneak around corners and hang on ledges you’ll have a easier time surviving and being able to get behind close for the stealthy kill. There’s also alot of rooftops and ladders you can climb up on to get a look at the entire map below if you want to take your enemies out from a distance.
The Siege co op mode is what makes this expansion pack well worth the price of admission. Its basically Horde Mode meets King of the Hill against the A.I. in where you and 2 other partners try and take control of a territory on a random area on the map. Once you and your team is in the vicinity of the circle, it will slowly fill up. Once you take that section it will randomly spawn at another point on the map. As you go through the different sections, the enemies will get harder and more relentless. It isnt the most original mode but its a great time killer if your playing with a good group of people and can add alot of hours of gun blazing fun.
In addition to the two new maps and the new co op mode, there are 11 more multiplayer trophies to obtain and 6 new player skins. The 5.99$ price tag is well worth it considering what you get in the expansion pack, and I have no problem supporting good developers who give fans what they want and price there DLC at a reasonable amount.
