Como estas todos personas! How are you all today? Anyways, this is El Alpha Jan bringing you the review for one of the biggest movies of the summer which actually came out today, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I got to see this movie at the midnight premier at the Premier Oaks 10 in Melbourne, FL and I took my little sister. Since she's still in high school, all of her friends were all there. Since I'm twenty-five, all of my friends were unorganized, late, or had to work the next day. I knew to take this day specifically off. The movie was actually fairly long which almost hit the three-hour mark or damn near close to it. All in all, the review below should give you a view on how the movie was on an unbiased view meaning there won't be no rating system as I always do for all my reviews. Rating systems are for specialization and that fits underneath a main category which you can throw subcategories of racism, prejudice, and anything else that puts a pitiful view of judgment. Only judgment is the one worth taking on yourself. Anyways, ladies and gentlemen, here is the review for the movie.

Synopsis
The sixth year of Hogwarts intensifies as the return of Voldemort is now known in the wizarding world to come back. With the wizarding world now knowing Voldemort has returned, his elite group of follwers, known as Death Eaters, are attacking in both the Wizarding and Muggle world alike. Fear is spreading as more people are taking more precautions than ever especially now that Harry Potter, the boy who lived, is now known as "The Chosen One". Now the clues of finding the defeating Voldemort lie within the past as Albus Dumbledore shows important memories to Harry Potter, mostly those of people who have interacted with Voldemort when he was younger, known as Tom Marvelo Riddle.

To make things even tougher for "The Chosen One", there is a new enemy he has to deal with now - teenage hormones. Relationships are now shown more than ever as Harry Potter starts to feel emotions dormant from within for Ginny Weasley, the girl he saved from The Chamber of Secrets. However, there are many things in his way including Ginny's current boyfriend Dean Thomas, as well as he fact her older brother is Harry's best friend, Ronald Weasley. Speaking of Ronald Weasley, he too is suffering numerous relationship experiences when Lavender Brown shows openly how much she really admires him, despite the feelings of their other best friend, Hermoine Granger, who is trying her hardest to keep her feelings under control despite how much she really loves Ronald Weasley. If that doesn't make it any worse, a spiked box of chocolates ends up in the wrong hands and even more chaos breaks lose.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is just the beginning of the end, but to see how it ends, we need to go back to the beginning.

Review
I am going to review this first on a strict-movie basis because I am taking this movie for what it is which is a movie adaption of a famous novel. However, if you don't read the books then I'll tell you straight up that this movie has more comedy in it than before. Since relationships are a big side-factor in this movie, there are numerous scenes of emotional development as well as comedy. This is best shown during the scene with the spiked chocolates as well as the Felix Felicius which is the "liquid luck potion". Just seeing emotions drawn out and shown in this movie makes it a worthwhile watch.

The action is a little limited from the last movie in the series, which had that awesome wizarding dual scene between Albus Dumbledore and Lord Voldemort as well as the Death Eaters fighting the Order of the Phoenix. In this movie, there are actually only three major action sequences and they don't use any advanced magic whatsoever. Usually, only disarming, protection, and killing is done. There is the scene at the cave however which was done somewhat well and brought out how dark the series turns since in the progression of events, this is the darkest year for Harry Potter, followed by the events of the Prisoner of Azkaban. The final thing I can say about this movie is it progressed the series and showed twists in the movie plot of the Harry Potter Series. Everything will of course be answered in the next two years when the seventh and final novel, The Deathly Hallows, is turned into two parts in two different movies since the series wants to end with no disappointment. How WB is going to do this is to film everything the book has into the two films.

**The next part of this review is a relative to the sixth book! If you haven't read the sixth book, then this part of the review is probably not worth the preference.**

Compared to the book, the movie is shown to be on a tight budget and restrained. I can see this because of the choice to make the seventh book a two movie showing and putting as much budget as they can for it, especially if they are going to do everything the book writes in the seventh book. There are a lot of different changes per say the kiss scene between Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley. However, there are things in the movie that took a different direction that I like more than the book such as how Ronald Weasley and Lavender Brown broke up. Nevertheless, this movie was like the fourth installment, there is a lot missing but this time, people should understand that more of the budget is now being put in the seventh movie adaption. The Goblet of Fire was just a victim of budget and time restraints.

Conclusion
For a movie, I have to say it is very good and even though it was laying off a bit on the action, the emotional development is very satisfying. The movie doesn't have anything per say vulgar, violent, or bad with it but there is of course some fight scense some dramatic scenes which may or may not be a factor for parents. All in all, worth the wait and worth the watch. I honestly am looking forward to how the series is going to conclude.
