Hey everyone! The Alpha Jan here bringing you an awesome musical album review from one of the bands I know a lot of girls will like here. Paramore has been around not that long only forming back in 2004. However, in their short five years of being active, they have already recorded three studio albums. Today, I am going to do a reveiw for their third album titled Brand New Eyes. It is actually still fresh in my head since I took this morning during work to listen to the entire album again and as always, I was not disappointed. Actually, this is one of those albums where I believe Paramore, as a band, improved and matured their sound.
In their first studio album Riot, they were just breaking in but I could sense some sloppiness on their part of delivery despite it still being a good album. Why my favorite song is on that album which is That's What You Get and I love it whenever I hear it at work during Kohl's (Yes! I work part-time at Kohl's). Well before I get into a huge remembering episode of happy thoughts and fairy dust, let's continue with the album review shall we.

Review
Paramore does a very good job keeping to the integrity of their music but refining their sound in this album. Brand New Eyes is titled so because it is to represent a metamorphosis. Notice how the cover art is a butterfly and in some respects, the wings of a butterfly can look like a pair of beautiful eyes. Not to mention, this is supposedly a very big improvement from this last album since not many people know that Paramore did an album prior before this one. Kind of like Nelly Furtado. Not many people knew she had a second album before Loose was released titled Folklore. Anyways back on Paramore's album, this album does a very good job on their sound and the maturity is admired and even praised. Most of the reviews rate this album very high from the 70% range and up. So at lowest, it is passing but they still go to College and at most they graduate with honors.
Now the songs that I really liked the most were a plenty actually. There are five songs that stand out the most to me and one of them is the promotional song for this album titled Ignorance. What that song is about is two friends, most likely best friends, in which one is maturing and growing up while the other is not and thus the one who is not growing up is becoming more ignorant to the point that ignorance is the ignorant person's new best friend. Very catchy actually. There is also a song titled The Only Exception which is about a girl who doesn't believe in love because of all she has seen in her life as well as experienced stating that there is no point in loving until she meets someone who is the exception. Very beautiful song in my honest opinion.
Now the two other songs I want to talk about are Brick by Boring Brick and Playing God. First one, titled Brick by Boring Brick, is about a girl who believes in fantasy and fairy tales but her heart is smashed and hurt to the point she learns to bury those fairy tales and to finally live in reality. Playing God is my favorite song on this album and once again I can easily say "Christians" when I see this song because what this song is about is about a girl who is recognizing people who constantly point the finger and think they are divine and saintly but she is constantly telling them to point at the mirror. Very deep-thought on this song thus why it is my favorite song on the entire album.
All in all, this is a must-buy if you like the before-mentioned genres of music but definitely worth listening to, even if emo, pop punk, or alternative music is not your thing. Try it out because there seems to be a song for everyone in this album and it is also one I stand by on my ground believing that Paramore will just be getting better and actually surviving unlike some bands like Breaking Benjamin or Crossfade who seem to have disappeared from the scene in such a short amount of time.
