The Alpha Jan here again with the last article of the day...actually a review. This was something I thought The Merry Muse might do first but I guess I call it! Did it first Michelle! Anyways, both she and I love listening to Joshua Bell and to most people of the MTV culture-only thinking, Joshua Bell is a prodigy when it comes to playing the violin. He is world famous and people pay $150 a minimum to watch his performance. Why, he is more popular than most NFL football players and I love watching the NFL. On a sidenote, you want to really get underneath an arrogant football fan's nerves, just say that soccer players and professional wrestlers are more famous and in all accounts they are. Only in the United States is the NFL really a stable but soccer is the most popular sport in the world. Do you ever hear of a Team United States going against a Team China in American Football? Nope. However, when it comes to soccer, even though there are local teams per country, what are the matches usually? Country versus country. Don't get me started on the fake wrestling.
Well back on review, Joshua Bell has over two dozen albums recorded and has been a prodigy in classical violin music for many, many years. I believe his first album that I can remember was back in 1998 with the album Gershwin Fantasy. Not many artists out there with over two dozen albums to their profile. Well now that the history lesson on the violin prodigy is over, here is the review for At Home With Friends by Joshua Bell and also from what I can remember this is the first classical music album reviewed on ICE so another intro prop for me! YAY!

Surprised X has not mentioned this yet... Belton, Texas-based quintet FLYLEAF has teamed up with director Meiert Avis (who has helmed clips for a diverse list of artists, including AVRIL LAVIGNE, U2, JACK'S MANNEQUIN, AUDIOSLAVE and BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN) to film a video for the band's new single, the bracing rocker "Again". The track comes off "Memento Mori", the follow-up to FLYLEAF's hit 2005 self-titled debut, which is scheduled for release on November 10 via A&M/Octone.

"The whole theme is that everything comes to an end," explained guitarist Sameer Bhattacharya, noting that their album title is a Latin phrase that loosely translates to "remember death." "But there's always hope and a bigger picture too."

On November 10, Sparrow Records and Atlantic Records will release Hello Hurricane, the seventh full-length album from the multi-Platinum, San Diego-based rock band SWITCHFOOT. Hello Hurricane is the group’s first album on Atlantic Records and its first studio album since 2006’s Oh! Gravity, which debuted at No. 18 on The Billboard 200. SWITCHFOOT has been hard at work on Hello Hurricane, tracking more than 80 songs at the band’s self-built home studio and selecting the very best of them for the record. The band recorded the album with noted producer/bassist Mike Elizondo (Dr. Dre, Rilo Kiley, Eminem and Pink). The edgy, driving lead single “Mess of Me” goes for adds at Modern and Active Rock radio this week as the stirring “Always” goes to Christian radio later this month.

As previously announced, Living Sacrifice are back with their brand new album, "The Infinite Order," their first release since reforming in 2008. The release has been moved from November 3 to January 26, 2010 on Solid State Records. This will be the band's seventh studio album. You can check out the message from band:
“Hey guys and gals, the release of the record has changed to Jan. 26 2010. This will allow LS and Solidstate properly promote the release of the record. So it is a good thing. We will be posting songs very very soon for all to check out. We are really really happy with this record and I cannot wait until it gets out there. Thank you all so much for caring, and sorry for the additional wait.

Powerful, forthright, thrashy and skillfully executed as ever, the album serves as an unapologetic reminder as to exactly why so many of today's heavy music leaders hold Living Sacrifice and in such high-esteem.

Hey everyone! The Alpha Jan here bringing you the first techno, dance, trance, electronica album review ever here on ICE. Today, I am revieing the newest album by Tiesto, formerly known as DJ Tiesto. Now I have been following Tiesto for quite sometime now. What I like is that he even uses his popularity as a DJ to promote other up-and-coming DJs in other albums, mostly his complications including In Search for Sunrise: Los Angelas which I had the honor of listening to. I have listened to more up-and-coming DJs in that little album and I am very impressed with them all.
Finally, Tiesto is one of the few artists who seems to spend more time with his element of music than most people who are in the music industry. We have way too many artists who are trying to do many different things in the shortest amount of time possible. Both Kanye West and Lil' Wayne are singing. Ludacris, Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, and even Eminem are acting. Billy Ray Cyrus is dancing. Still and still, everything Tiesto seems to do is based off of his music per say running a club, promoting other DJs, or being on tour and I respect that as well as the others. So without anymore interuption, here is the review for Tiesto's new album Kaleidoscope.

Hey everyone! The Alpha Jan here bringing you an awesome musical album review from one of the bands I know a lot of girls will like here. Paramore has been around not that long only forming back in 2004. However, in their short five years of being active, they have already recorded three studio albums. Today, I am going to do a reveiw for their third album titled Brand New Eyes. It is actually still fresh in my head since I took this morning during work to listen to the entire album again and as always, I was not disappointed. Actually, this is one of those albums where I believe Paramore, as a band, improved and matured their sound.
In their first studio album Riot, they were just breaking in but I could sense some sloppiness on their part of delivery despite it still being a good album. Why my favorite song is on that album which is That's What You Get and I love it whenever I hear it at work during Kohl's (Yes! I work part-time at Kohl's). Well before I get into a huge remembering episode of happy thoughts and fairy dust, let's continue with the album review shall we.

To conclude this week's musical album reviews on symphonic metal bands, I want to review one band that stands out the most when it comes to symphonic metal and gothic rock. Lacuna Coil, though their name is actually their third name of the actual band before Sleep of Right and Etheral, were active since 1994 making this the oldest symphonic band I know of. They have been around way before Lunatica and Sirenia, who are two veterans in the business, and they are more established with their band and sound than Evanescence which has replaced all their members except for the lead singer, Amy Lee. Nevertheless, they only have five albums underneath their moniker of Lacuna Coil and I first heard of this band through their song Our Truth which was played and famous on the radio stations here in the United States. I also found out that they did their own cover of Enjoy the Silence, and very famous song by Depeche Mode which is very good too.
I soon went through all of their other albums and bought some including In a Reverie and one of their LPs known as Half-Life. My favorite song from this band is actually in their native language of Italian titled Senzafine which translates to "endless". Why even their band name Lacuna Coil translates to "empty spiral". As it pertains to this album, this is the fifth album by this band and it is a new direction of their old sound. Why I say that is because a lot of their songs reminds me of their first album they recorded years ago. Nevertheless, it is still awesome and I love how the cover of the album is an empty vail shaped into a hand bomb.
