There are many people who claim the Bible is "just a book written by ignorant people in the hills". Often these people don't realize the extent to which archaeology agrees with the Bible. The level of accurate details is stunning, even in minutiae.

Hopefully people will take this advice from Moore. It's estimated by the US government that the percentage of energy produced in the US by nuclear power will DROP down to 15%. Even France is better than that. Fears of nuclear technology are no longer sustainable since the new reactor technology is cleaner and the designs different enough that a Chernobyl-type disaster scenario cannot happen (at least, not in the same way). Michael Behe gives an overview of the main empirical evidence contained in his new book The Edge of Evolution. What I found interesting is that his persaonl position is so very close to Theistic Evolutionists (TE's) in that he believes the entire Design could have been encoded by God into the creation event itself. This was in response to many Christians who have a problem with God "intervening" in His Creation. I'm assuming this attitude does not extend to miracles...? In any case Behe is very open-minded on this topic, not the least dogmatic. He's willing to follow where the evidence leads.

On Friday evening, I attended a private viewing of Ben Stein's movie "Expelled—No Intelligence Allowed" at the Director’s Guild of America here in Hollywood. I wasn’t sure what to knowing that Ben Stein is Jewish and this wasn’t about teaching creationism in the schools. But I did know it was an important film, one I needed to review.

"Expelled—No Intelligence Allowed" is not about getting God back into the classrooms except for the freedom to openly discuss Him alongside of Darwin, Newton, Einstein and other scientists. This film is not about restoring "religion" into our learning institutions or culture, it’s not about giving the creationists, Christians, Jews or any other religious communities equal time to teach their religious beliefs. No it goes much deeper than that.
